Taim is a minor recurring character in Horizon Zero Dawn.
History
Background
Taim was hunting boar east of Mother's Crown when he encountered a Sawtooth. He evaded the machine but lost his lucky ring, prized from a machine's jaws that originally belonged to his maternal grandmother.[2]
Horizon Zero Dawn
When Aloy visited Mother's Crown, Taim asked her to help the tribe by collecting boar skin for the local Stitcher. He also asked her to look for his lost ring while she is out hunting.[1]
Aloy found the ring in the throat of a dead boar - having been killed by said ring. She retrieved it and brought the ring and the boar skin to Taim at a campfire just outside Mother's Crown. Taim gladly accepted the items, deciding to wear the ring around his neck to prevent it from being lost again.[1]

During the Eclipse invasion of the Sacred Lands, Taim was among the Nora that took refuge within All-Mother Mountain, witnessing Aloy enter and return from ELEUTHIA-9. However, he appeared completely unfazed by the entire experience.[3]

- Taim shares various assets with other characters:
- Taim is voiced by Russell Bentley, who also voices Menuf and Walid.
- Taim wears the same outfit as Muns (albeit with a different color scheme) and Grist (albeit with a different color scheme and an additional hood).
